What is the aim Round Table?

Round Table is all about having fun with a group of friends, while at the same time trying to fundraise and help the local community.

But what is the Round Table?

It started with just one man's idea, Loui Marchesi. He was a member of Rotary in Norwich but had the brainwave of starting a new organisation for young men between the ages of 18-40. Recently, the age range of Round Table has now been changed to 18-45.

What is the motto of Round Table?

Round Table was born with the motto:Adopt, Adapt, Improve.

What is Round Table all about?

From the small beginnings of one club in Norwich, the idea of Round Table grew quickly. In the UK today, Louis' dream has become a reality with over 1,100 clubs and over 13,000 members. Each Round Table operates individually but with a common cause:

Together, they form the National Association of Round Tables of Great Britain and Ireland.

What is the National Association of Round Tables of Great Britain and Ireland?

So what happens in Round Table?

Your local Round Table meets a couple of times a month for a few drinks and a chat, sometimes with a meal. Besides discussing any plans for future events and activities, there are sometimes Guest Speakers who come and give talks on a variety of topics. These can be vary from educational, serious or down right hilarious meetings. Each Round Table is different and because members organise their own activities, there is no limit to the adventures you can get up to.

Are visitors welcome in Round Table?

Yes, we always welcome visitors to come along to our meetings to witness what Round Table can offer them. They will see that Round Table is a very friendly open organisation.

What about social events and the family?

Social events and outings are a frequent and popular way of bringing Table members and their families together. These are organised at both local and national level. These can be anything from Go-Karting, Ten Pin Bowling, Paint Ball, Camping, Treasure Hunts, Quiz Nights. The list is endless.

Inter-table and regional sporting competions play an important part in the Round Table calendar and culminate in the National Sporting Weekend.

Many Round Tables have links with overseas Tables which provide an excellent opportunity for Tablers and their families to enjoy international hospitality.
